James Patterson's Harvest was hosted at Bitforms gallery in Chelsea. It was a combination of acrylic paintings on which Patterson collaborated with Jeremy Felker, and a generative animation with sound that features graphics from his paintings. The paintings were for lack of a better word, eye-catching, and the animation supercool and original. At first I thought it was a game; like a crazy version of flow.
Jane Alexander's Survey, a collection of photomontage prints that composit images of hybrid culpture onto African environments. It was all done in photoshop -- Photoshop--c 'mon, it made me wish I had thought of this before.
Great post. The photomontage never stops being relevant it seems....make your own series!
