What else is due

Hey guys,
I know our mock ups, chapter 17, wire frames, and site-maps are due Saturday.  I have all of those done.

I just have a feeling I'm missing something.  What else is due??

thanks,

Jo

Mock up

I'm not sure if it is clear that I want my buttons to bounce around the page.
Any ideas about how I can convey this on my Mock up.  Ideally this is how I want my page except the buttons dont bounce yet.

Camille's Short Essay on Bitforms Gallery

My journey to the Bitforms gallery was a cool n different experence. As I am diving more into the art world, I am discovering that new media art such as Jame Paterson's works are much more interactive than any traditional art such as the Mona Lisa. But wouldn't it be cool if your could walk up the the Mona Lisa and sit down and just manipulate her smile or make her wink. I think that would be totatlly awsome. Well Mr. Paterson had one such artwork which was totally interactive which actually made me late getting back to work from lunch but it was very worth it!

James Patterson's Harvest

Going to Bitforms was my first visit to an art gallery, so it was a new experience for me. I think Patterson's The Rotten Fruit Tardis was interesting, because it was cool to able to interact with the artist's work. Also, just being in Chelsea was cool, because it's not a neighborhood I visit often (or at all, really), and although I didn't go into other galleries other than Bitforms, there was this one open art exhibit nearby that looked really interesting. I don't remember what it was called, but I think it had the word "history" in it. So hopefully the next time I'm in that area, I'll have time to check that out (if it's still there), and other new art exhibits.

Project 5 and Presentation Links

Sorry for the lateness. I'm at home right now, and I couldn't access my fmundergrad account. When I try to connect using WinSCP, it says network error and connection timed out, so I uploaded my .swf to FileDen. I'll upload it along with my .fla to my fmundergrad account when I can.

Troubleshooting on Flash

Ok, so thanks to everyone who responded and to Filip for helping me trouble shoot.

So, my layers are all stacked on top of one another and I don't know how long it will take me to fix.

This sucks!  I have done such a good job all semester and now Flash is attempting to foil me!!!

On top of that, I did a self portrait animation, something along the lines of my collage.  I feel so self centered now.

See you guys in an hour!

Bitforms

The animation (as flash animation on website) is interesting, however I've seen interactive animations like that, so it was nothing new. When I will have more knowledge and skills in flash/actionscript, I want to make something like that. We'll see.
I also know the flaw.

Bitforms

Thought the art was good.
Really liked The Rotten Fruit Tardis, it reminds me of the game Flow .
I has a 3D effect and it's interactive.

1st time at Bitforms and hopefully not my last : )

When visiting Bitforms gallery at Chelsea, I noticed how diverse, complex and illimitable art design can be. It was a different experience. I was expecting to view images that were interpreted as clear and easy to understand at first glance, but this was different. When I observed some of the graphics and images that were illustrated at Bitforms, I got a distinctive feel about art in general, and I had a good feeling about it. For example, when I saw a James Paterson animation (I don’t remember what it’s called), I gradually became part of the animation without me even noticing it. It is as if the artist’s goal is to trap you (in a good way) inside this world of creativity and spontaneity without you acknowledging it yourself. This particular piece of art was very interesting, different, endless and colorful.

Trippin' in Chelsea

Biforms

James Patterson's Harvest was hosted at Bitforms gallery in Chelsea. It was a combination of acrylic paintings on which Patterson collaborated with Jeremy Felker, and a generative animation with sound that features graphics from his paintings. The paintings were for lack of a better word, eye-catching, and the animation supercool and original. At first I thought it was a game; like a crazy version of flow.

Jack Shainman Gallery

Jane Alexander's Survey, a collection of photomontage prints that composit images of hybrid culpture onto African environments. It was all done in photoshop -- Photoshop--c 'mon, it made me wish I had thought of this before.

Banksy

My experience at the gallery

I really like it.  I know thats generic but really I did.

Anyway, My fave part was the animation on the wall.

My first thought was, hey is that on flash?

But I knew it could not be because of the 3d element and the process is way to elaborate.

I loved the sketch on the wall with the florescent light.  That was just down right awesome!! I can imagine having something like that in my home.

I appreciated the paintings but its not something I'm quick to take home.

I did understand what he was trying to accomplish with the paintings.
