Project 2, Octomom Porn Deal
I'm not too happy with this. I was at a lost of what to do for the background/colors and composition. It's about Octomom's $1 million offer to make a porno. I think she declined for now, but I thought it was sad she felt she had to sell her body to make ends meet. Her children are suppose to be in a toxic cloud of ink, but I couldn't figure out a better way to draw it.

This week of very difficult for me. I was stuck in this god forbidden place while my friends paraded the streets of Port of Spain for Carnival. Therefore I had my own little carnival in my bedroom on Monday night. Quite fun. No pictures sorry! But if you want to have your own carnival in your room you can listen to soca on trini jungle juice.
Hope you have as much fun as I did.

Even a chimp knows better

My 2nd project is a response to the controversy surrounding the NY Post cartoon, implying that President Obama is a chimpanzee. It was an obvious racist implicaion made by the NY Post and almost everyone, despite race was offended by it. In these challenging times why would they stoop so low just to get a laugh -- I think even a chimpanzee would have known better.
I used line art to portray a chimpanzee and bold colors to represent the American flag. Everything was traced by hand, because I could not find the live trace tool (or maybe the edition i used did not have it).

Graffiti Editorial
After my father caught me doing graffiti, that was it for me; however, I was more into the art form not the tagging. Ironically, museums did not treat graffiti artists as artists at that time. Maybe this course will help me get back into art. I do see more inner-city web projects being developed.
Anyhow, my father and I still talk about that day. I think I may have a digital piece to display on the blog.
